Sight Glasses

Snyder Equipment offers replacement sight glass inserts. The optional pre-installed brush allows for simple cleaning of the unit without breaking any seals or opening any access ports.

Stub Shafts

We rebuild stub shafts for EMD 645 blower engines, 645 turbo engines, and 710 engines. Requalified stub shafts provide the same performance at almost 1/3 of the price.

Shaft diameters are re-qualified, new sleeve bearings and dowel pins are installed, and sealing surfaces are checked for flatness.

Guru Clips

Guru Clips are designed to hold Guru valves in place during the refilling of the locomotive cooling system.

The clips are tethered to a magnetic sign that is placed on the sid eo fthe locomotive, alerting personnel that the Guru valve is wedged shut

Available with one or three clips per lanyard.

Lighting may be included upon request.

Stack Covers

Stack covers are designed to keep contaminants out of the turbocharger and engine compartment during locomotive storage.

Available in three sizes for different exhaust configurations:

·      13” x 5”

·      32” x 14”

·      31” x 16”

Positive Train Control (PTC Components)

Snyder provides a variey of support components for PTC systems, including cabinets, shelving, hold-down equipment, and compartment doors.
